Social Inclusion Project

Social Inclusion Project

The Maison de la Culture of Amiens and the Borough Council of West Norfolk put in place a programme of social reintegration for those in difficulty (12 persons will be recruited in 2013 and in 2014, in Amiens and in King’s Lynn).

On the Maison de la Culture’s side, this programme will be based upon its 2011 professional integration project, funded by the State, the General Council of department Somme and the European Social Fund.

The integration programme aims at offering trainings and experience to people in a situation of social exclusion in order for them to access qualifying education or to find a new job more easily. It will focus in Amiens on the acquisition of skills in the fields of landscape and artistic technique professions and in King’s Lynn on gardening and cultural mediation jobs. Courses of language, cultural management and informatics, necessary to the development and follow-up of the project, will be given to the programme’s beneficiaries.
